I have had the chance to meet Marc Van Rampelberg in his studio/showroom in Nairobi to portrey him. He has invented a unique way to work with wood by dividing it in slices, put it together, and create very smooth and rounded shapes. These items are all handmade, made with the best hard woods you can imagine, heavy and precious like the weight of their worth. I felt so grateful to have had this time with him.

Ho avuto l’occasione di conoscere Marc Van Rampelberg nel suo studio/showroom di Nairobi per ritrarlo. Ha inventato un modo unico di lavorare il legno dividendolo in strati che poi vengono uniti e messi insieme creando forme morbide e rotondeggianti. Questi mobili sono interamente fatti a mano, creati dal legno migliore che esista, pesanti e preziosi. Un bellissimo incontro, passare del tempo con lui è stato illuminante.
